These are my furry children, two lovely cattle dogs, named Abby (she’s the blue healer in the front) and Auggie (he’s the red healer in the back). A lot of people aren’t familiar with this breed, but my husband and I love them. Cattle dogs are high maintenance, but loyal and loving. They’re perfectly content to follow at your heels all day long, whether you’re in the garden, the kitchen or the bathroom. They just want to be near you.

Now Abby lived with us for two years while my daughter and her husband lived out of the country, but they came back and Abby left.  We had to have a playmate for Auggie so we adopted Max, AKA-Maximillian, AKA – Mad Max, AKA-Maxwell, AKA- Goober!  Get the picture.  Actually we probably should have named him Dennis the Menace.  Now he is a cattle dog mix.  The floppy ears and the long legs give that part away, but he is such a loving, aggravating, loyal, pain!  Haha!
